The 9th Annual DAFNE Collaborative meeting was held in Manchester on 10 June 2011. The meeting was well represented with 140 delegates attending from 61 of the 77 DAFNE centres in the UK and Ireland. There were also representatives from Kuwait (DAFNE Q8) and Australia (Oz DAFNE), Central DAFNE, DAFNE Research Group, Diabetes UK, DAFNE User Action Group (DUAG) and DAFNE User Group (DUG).

Dr Helen Hopkinson, from Glasgow, was introduced as the new Chair of the DAFNE Executive Board, taking over from Prof Stephanie Amiel from King's College London who had chaired the group since 2005.
