New Study focusing on Young Adults with Type 1 Diabetes commences in DAFNE Centre in Galway

Dr Sean Dinneen, lead DAFNE Doctor at University Hospital Galway has recently commenced a Health Research Board-funded Health Research Award entitled “Improving Outcomes for Young Adults with Type 1 Diabetes in Ireland”.

One of the first things we would like to do is to establish a Galway-based user group to help guide the research so we would like to invite young adults (18-25 years) with type 1 diabetes to an exciting and important evening, this will be the first step in establishing a Youth Panel to design and share ideas to influence research in young adults with type 1 diabetes. Get involved and be a voice for young adults with diabetes.

The event is being held on Wednesday 19th February 2014, from 6:30pm-8pm in JIGSAW, Fairgreen Road, Galway (opposite the new Coach Station).
