Following DAFNE awareness and additional training in the DAFNE QA process a team from Kuwait have systematically piloted DAFNE in Kuwait. The Team at the Dasman Diabetes Institute headed by Dr Ebaa Alozairi, have just received the backing of national officials for DAFNE to become the national Type 1 education programme in Kuwait.
Kuwait will join Australia and New Zealand (jointly working as Oz DAFNE) as countries which have taken on the DAFNE approach, and who work collaboratively with the UK DAFNE programme.
